Trip number one is about to happen

Here it is at 12:12 AM on Tuesday morning and things are starting to feel very real. My first flight up to Canada is scheduled for 10:50 AM on Wednesday morning. I have never been out of the country before. It is going to be a whole new set of experiences.

Flying doesn't really scare me because I used to fly all the time in my younger days. The different between flying domestically and international, I am not sure, but I will soon be finding out.

Another aspect that is a bit nerve racking is that I will be going to be meeting my new employers face to face for the first time. A few phone conversations have happened between us and plenty of emails. There just hasn't been a physical meeting. I can't help but find myself wondering at the ridiculous prospect of my expectations being out of line with reality. There is no way of knowing for certain until I go up there.

This should be an interesting trip. Even though it is going to only last for four days, I am going to really miss my wife and son.
